If you add or remove the MGMT configuration of a member, the member will reboot.

Notes on configuring MGMT port

The MGMT interface must be in a subnet that is separate from LAN1.

If you delete a member from the Grid GUI, the member will reboot and come back up with the same IP it has.

MGMT Port

• Create appliance
• Boot appliance
• Set LAN1
• Connect to Web UI
• Use web UI to set MGMT port
• Appliance reboots
• Use CLI to set membership
• CLI wizard will ask if you want to use the MGMT port for Grid VPN.

You can edit the MGMT interface of one none in a HA pair. It will reboot that node but not the other node of the HA pair.

If MGMT port is enabled on a node, then the node will use that port to communicate with the reporting server (if there is one)
